Resolving Engine Firmware and NVRAM Failures


    Note: Remember to use the white Information key on the front panel to gain access to additional, important details about each failure. Scroll down to the bottom of the help text to obtain the specific code associated with the failure. Record this code number along with the front panel display message.

FrontPanel

  1. On the front panel, press the key labeled i to view information about the error.
  2. Record the error code number.
  3. Turn off the printer.
  4. OffSwitch

  5. Reseat the fuser.
  6. Reseat the imaging unit.
  7. Reseat the toner cartridges.
  8. Turn on the printer.
  9. If the error continues to be displayed Call for service.
